I love when you write about the richness of experience, Val. Whether it be about an exchange with your granddaughter or this wonderful questionnaire. Brava!

This was great to read. I’m 47 and I feel what must be like 57. I’m fighting aging now, exercising more, exploring my true self and talents more, and having a hard time imagining myself as a perky, optimistic 71 year old. I think it is largely because MY mom got angrier and more miserable as she aged. All I heard was how hard it was. It seems it made me feel all the aches and pains and irritations of aging, that much earlier.
She died 2 years ago this month, and I wasn’t there to tell her “it’s all going to be OK.” (Thinking - “the pain and misery will end now, mom”). So anyway I love hearing from inspiring women like this lady! There is hope! And even though the body starts falling apart, we can still enjoy life and living, right!!?!🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
What a great Substack! What a brilliant Val Monroe!!
E. Jean! I love your Substack too, and I’d love for you to take the Oldster Magazine Questionnaire, as well, if you’re interested…❤️
DO IT DO IT DO IT DOT.
I'm gonna bug her again!
Random person no one knows here would LOVE to see E.Jean do the questions!!! Such a hero ❤️
Just gorgeous. Thank you. From the bottom of my pacemaker.
Just loved this, Val. Made me consider the questions myself… xxKathryn

I cannot believe when asked what older woman inspired her she said all women and not BONNIE because she jumps in frozen lakes!
Crossovers are one of the coolest things about Substack. Love this!
Yes! Hoping to incorporate them more…
