Love this warm, wise, and engaging interview with Hugh Willard! And I agree completely about Abigail Thomas and Mel Allen as inspirations. For anyone curious: get a copy of Finding Beauty in the Gray! It’s wonderful.
What a great interview! So much that resonated with me. Like Hugh's mom, I feel like, at 63, I am finding my stride in my 60s! Glad to be introduced to Hugh and his work.
Soooo much of this resonates with me! Even down to losing my adventurous mom in her mid-60s. Just started my own Substack to capture my adventures in grad school, being newly single, and having no intention of slowing down for the next few decades. :) Thanks for sharing, Hugh!
“I’m doing my best to cover a lot of ground and to foster intergenerational conversation. Please work with me.”
I want to commend your on-going effort, acknowledge how laudable I believe is your intent, and recommend to all your product!
Thank you for getting it! And for saying so. 🙏
I’m 62. I’ve had opportunity to “get it” 😁
