" We're minimalists with three suitcases to our name, but we have each other, which is really home." What a brave and loving statement! Also: gray hair with such a young face looks marvelous. This is a life-affirming woman!
i'm not sure you can completely and honestly "own your age" and state you're "not trying to look younger" while admitting to going under the plastic surgeon's knife.
Good advice for anyone to stay open to possibilities.
Finding true love 3 times is huge but possible since you were open to love. Not being a victim after loosing everything to the fires amazing but possible since you know what matters.
Sari, this was a great interview with Ricki, she’s been through so much and is choosing to remain positive. Love that and I know it’s not always easy. But, what happened when I was watching you, is that I saw and heard myself in you. I think I found my doppelgänger. In fact you reminded me so much of myself, I forwarded the interview to a couple of my closest friends and one of them thought she was watching me interview Ricki! I am 10 years your Senior at 69 to your 59, but still the likeness is uncanny. Hope to meet you one day. Until then, keep up the great content and take care.
What a positive and uplifting interview. Ricki has the wisdom to know what's important. She and her husband are very blessed to have each other. Her plans for celebrating her life after she passes is a healthy idea. I look forward to watching "The Business of Being Born."
This was such a joy to read! Ricki Lake’s reflections on aging, self-acceptance, and creative evolution are so inspiring. As someone who works with mission-driven creatives, I love seeing stories like this that celebrate growth and embracing each stage of the journey—mess and all. It’s a reminder that reinvention isn’t just possible, it’s necessary. Thank you for sharing this conversation!
You look great...I was a late bloomer and had my period at 57...but glad its over now...hot flashes are thr worst...at 65 and living my lige happily...thinking of you while you deal w LA stuff.

We all make an assortment of choices. It’s very personal.
Excess stretched skin from weight loss is not the same as getting wrinkles.
Such a great interview..
She's a magical woman for sure 🦋
I adore her! My Gen X heroes have held up! (Ricki, Molly, Demi, Ally, Phoebe)

Your smile infectious too.
She just glows with positivity and her love for life, and good for her!
