Maybe it's just that we're so close in age (I just turned 51 on Jan 3), but Jonathan is delightfully familiar to me-- in his sense of humor, his response to being at this weird age when you're older but not yet "old", in his angst about not being more "established." Also, the childhood photo with comic artists is just wonderful--the pure joy of someone being immersed in something they love is amazing to witness. Makes me feel excited to nurture my sons' interests.

I love these so much! And this one really resonates with me. I'm 47, so the Gen X humor gets me. I totally know what he means, too, about feeling like people that were 50 seemed old when we were kids, but Gen X is really doing 50 differently, so it's confusing!
