Oh, and how about the cycle of life showing itself? A beautiful synchronicity that you contributed to Jane's magazine back in the day. Now Googling, "What is Generation Jones?
You both dropped so many treasures! I'll be hanging my head off the bed for a fresh perspective. That appeals to my hair vanity too. That inversion brings healthy circulation to the scalp.
I recall how fortunate I was in my late twenties when my boyfriend's Mom defiantly declared, "I'm fifty now. I had everything hauled away out of the garage and everyone can make their own damn sandwich."
I took note with great admiration and made a conscious decision to immediately take on her attitude of freedom, and not wait till age fifty.
Your talk left me with much to chew on, pun intended!
Please write me at jane@anotherjaneprattthing with any pitches or stories at all. If you remember sassy, then you already know the whole vibe and ethos and types of content we publish. Only for any age and gender, not just teenage girls this time. So far it's all been real accounts, no fiction, but I'm open to that too. And of course, I fully assumed you meant that you wanted to write for anotherjaneprattthing.com with your comment but if I'm wrong, ignore me! Thanks for tuning in today!
Wonderful conversation. I loved it. Wanted to pipe in. Will do the oldster test and check out Another Jane Pratt Thing after I research Jones Generation
Great interview with Jane Pratt! I agree. 50's were depressing and scary. 60's so much better. I am also a chewing gum aficionado maybe more than addict. I mainly chew it to make sure my breath is okay. For decades I was all about cinnamon gum, but it had sugar so now I do the Extra Polar Ice or Spearmint and since gum like everything else now is ridiculously priced, I just tear off like a 1/3 of a stick and chew that a while when I feel I might need it. Not chewing constantly. Just at work or in social situations.
I’ve spent SO much deeply worthwhile time reading Sari and the stellar people in her vivid galaxy that it is such a treat to really see her wonderful face & great style, and hear the voice too. (And snoop at the bookshelves.)The Oldster avatar is so tiny. So before it even starts it’s way fun!

I'm so glad, Marguerite!!
How and what (poetry, essays, etc.?) can one attempt to contribute?

Loved this conversation so much!!
Thank you for helping to make it happen, Christina!! <3
Thanks, Christina! That was truly the most fun "interview", and it never would've happened without you!

I do that bed thing too — so funny.
Amazing! Did you just make it up on your own also?
Yes! Still have a picture of my best childhood friend and I doing it on camp bunkbeds in about 1970. Which may well be the origin story.
(Or should it be and ME doing it — in any case another era that’s for sure!)
So did I end up being perpetual the idea of what 36 is meant to be since I was 5 yrs old?
What a fucking delight...officially the coolest xox
Awww, thanks, Whitney!! <3
Thank you and you too!
Swedish Fish Trident!?!?!
I need this so much. I do not know how I missed it as I am a huge lover of cross branding.
ps Every writer I know has something they chew on deadline. My fave is my friend Cheryl, who eats ham.
Wow, ham! I know, I LOVED Swedish Fish Trident. They don't seem to make it anymore.
