Including Cliff Chenfeld's "Oldster Top 10" (except there are 12!) selected from readers' favorite songs of 2024. PLUS a special playlist with all 47 reader song recommendations.
Has this come up for others? I have been subscribed to Oldster via the the substack app and the posts do not show up in my feed/inbox. I have several other subscriptions that work fine. I tried unsubscribing and resubscribing. It's just this one that I can't see. Anyone have a tip on how to fix this?
Love your stuff Sari! My substack (with JB) overlaps some. It discusses the challenges of creatives "emerging" after 40, up to 80, 90 and beyond, fighting up against the ageism of the otherwise "woke" lit/art world.
Thank you Sari and all the wo derful contributors and fellow commentators.....what a gorgeous community. Lots of love and spectacular aging disgracefully with joy and lashings of laughter 😘
The L.A. Times article really struck a chord with me. My post-menopausal body really doesn’t like alcohol anymore, even one drink prompts a hangover so, no more drinks for me. Time to figure out some low sugar mocktails.
@Sari, as always, thanks for the links and the new music (Mickey and I were just this morning comparing playlist notes.) Here's to all of us continuing to make our world better in 2025. xo
Happy new year. You make every day better

I also want to walk through Central Park on a snowy night.
We watched the first episode of Matlock and liked it but didn't keep up with it for no particular reason. So thank you for the binge-gift!
Enjoy!

That's weird. I'd email support@substackinc.com

Thanks, Thea. I'll check it out...

Am I the only one who thought Shelley Duvall the most gorgeous woman on earth? God only made one of her : )
Nice, quiet, crunchy snow. Alone or with partner.
I hate snow & ice, but been a Midwestern person my entire life. Like the 4 seasons. Never lived in another state.

Same! Writing something about this now...
Love that Mavis Staples is on the playlist!
Happy New Year Sari!
Thanks, Ellen! You, too!! <3

Oh, nice! Thank you for these kind words, Jessica, and back at you. ❤️
Thank you for the playlist and for all that you do.
<3 <3 <3 And thank you for your Oldster questionnaire and essay!
That playlist! 🔥
Glad you like it!! It was fun to have people make suggestions, and then put them together.
Can I add one song? It's a new song done in the 80's style. It's Chris Harm's song "I Love You" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABfCS0_12Zg
I've just added it. :)
Thank you so much!
I can’t wait to dig in to this!! Thank you 🙏🏻
