I hope. I am not an American Sari, but this has upset me as much as you. It is a stunning setback for 1/2 the population. Thank you for your post.

I think it’s important to use the word women. Especially with this travesty. Erasing that word contributes to the right wing war on women.

To my mind, there is no downside to being more inclusive in our language. This is even more important now, given the horrors that trans people are experiencing right now in so many U.S. states.

R v W was poorly decided with many left-wing prochoice constitutional lawyers and academics agreeing. That included once upon a time RBG. The decision did not make abortion illegal in the USA. Trigger laws in 13 states is disturbingly tragic and way too restrictive but guess what, they can vote and use the legislative branch as intended in a democracy to change the law and make the procedure legal in their state. But anyone that believes regardless of political affiliation that tearing a 24-week-old child apart and sucking out its brain is without consequences or push back then your inability to value life is equally tragic. When the piles of mutilated children start piling up as a result of the new California taxpayer sponsored abortion tourism takes off and images that will eventually become public will have many rethinking their aligning with such cruelty.
