I'll watch the returns on MSNBC and try not to lose my mind. My husband and I will get take-away somewhere bc we'll both have been working the election... he's poll watching and I'm driving Democrats to the polls here in Atlanta. We won't have an answer Tuesday night. My neighbor is having an open house Wednesday morning for coffee and commisseration and we'll go to that.
We won’t be watching any news in our home or electronic devices until the next morning, as we did in 2016 and 2020. I suffer from anxiety and depression and don’t have the coping skills to watch along, and I will probably need a sleeping pill to get through the night. I feel embarrassed and weak about it, but I just can’t handle the uncertainty :(
Same situation here. However, I don’t think it’s “weak” to have a feeling heart and to need to take extra care of yourself when faced with an overwhelmingly anxiety-producing moment in history. We should all get the help and support we need and be gentle with ourselves and others. Fingers crossed for good sleep for you and a good outcome for all of us!
Having the election results on television and watching it with my hand over my eyes and a prayer on my breath that orange man is defeated, and we can get rid of him forever.
I don't know what I'm doing on Election Night and I am super stressed about it. I've spent the last two elections curled on the floor and would like to avoid that. I am getting my nails painted blue on Monday, that much I have decided. Tuesday night, perhaps a really lovely dinner out and a movie? Try to stay off my phone if possible (probably not).
I am out of the US now and not planning on watching the election results because I feel know who will win: the person the majority of US residents deserve as their leader, the person who is as morally rotten as they are.
I have given all the money I can to the other candidate, but I doubt it will help.
Thanks for supporting "the other candidate" with your dollars. I am hoping you are wrong (and fighting similar thoughts myself). Glad you were able to get out of dodge.
I'm going to suggest to my husband that we keep the TV off, only turning it on for 5 minutes every half hour to check in. That way we have some semblance of control over the inevitable. I scheduled 2 massages for the days after the election. Pro-active self care, baby
Thanks for this collection of links, Sari. My wife and I voted yesterday. We’re likely to watch MSNBC on election night. Probably I should spend the time praying or something.
Will be watching with bated breath here in Canada. Recent poll here had Harris 64%, “Orange Man” 21% and undecided at 15%. Hope that 64% translates down there!

Good luck over there!
Thanks to you and Mickey for volunteering! <3
Being glued to msnbc hoping that even with all the people who Donald Trump has fooled into voting for him that Kamala will still win
🙏 🤞🏼 ❤️
Thanks for the legwork to pull all these great resources together! And for voting. 🤗

Yes!
Thank you for the kind words ♥️
I hear you, Marybeth. I haven't slept well in quite some time, and it's getting worse. (Been up since 3am!) Hang in there!
Thank you Sari ♥️

Me, too. <3

Oh, maybe I'll paint my nails blue (for the blessed distraction as well as the message!). <3
it feels like a good idea to me!
Thank you, Sari, for all your hard work! 🌸

Voted early in Pennsylvania. It's beyond comprehension that this is our reality. Here's to preserving democracy.

Hope I am wrong but I don’t think so.
Cheers from the Caribbean!

Love it.

Wonderful. Thanks for voting! We are debating whether to go to a local cafe hosting a watch party, or stay home just the two of us.
Thanks for the shout out to Anne Lamott. She's one of my favorites too.
The best!
My husband is a dual citizen and has voted for Harris-Walz. I stand behind science, equality, and democracy.
Wonderful.
