I knew these two would be awesome and delightful in conversation, and oh my yes they are. What a marvellous Oldster entry!

I just found Oldster, and it spoke to me profoundly. I was just shamed by a close friend for my age, which is 63, and my lack of skill on a new computer program. After processing her comments, I began asking for help from friends and teenagers on navigating new programs. If my friend hadn’t been so cruel, and her words were definitely cruel, I wouldn’t have moved on from her and challenged myself to grow. I hope others feel the opportunity to learn without the negativity prompting them. As a former English professor, and now literacy tutor, I believe that we are all lifelong learners.

So sorry you were shamed that way! But glad you found your way here and are enjoying Oldster. Thanks for letting me know.

I absolutely loved this conversation! It was so rich…and funny! I was intrigued by the exploration of how we aren’t making the same kind of body memories in a digital age (I’m HUGE Lynda Barry fan) and then I was laughing all the way through the adult diaper convo. Can we be besties?
