Happy happy 59th birthday to you, Sari!! I love learning more about you and I love these questions so much!! I can’t wait to follow along with you on your way to the six-oh♥️

I started writing an essay yesterday called Befores and Afters, it’s been on my mind as I dive into excavating this weird life.

Also- I would love to help with your documentary about women and singing!! I love to sing too and am sooo ashamed to admit that and crazy shy about it. I have produced a few docs so let me know if you ever want to make it 🙃

I’m curious- what made you decide to add these questions to the questionnaire?

Thank you so much, Mesa, and for becoming a paid subscriber. These were questions that I kept thinking about and wishing were on there, so finally I added them. Hmmm, maybe we can collaborate somehow on that doc…

You’re welcome and happy to be able to support your work 😍

I love the universality of the questions, and how much they make you think, great additions!

A collaboration would be so much fun! If you’re ever up for it I’ll be here :)

Happy Birthday! It seems like only yesterday I was facing 60. Now that I’m 68, I long for the energy and body competence I had 8 years ago. I can’t stretch like I used to because my bones are brittle. Have a great year but the old age shit accelerates very quickly.

Happy 59th! Once cremated you can still be interred or let people know where you left your seat next to a tree with a plaque. They will have to take a special trip just to come visit.

Happy Birthday Sari! Wishing you health and continued happiness. If only you could see yourself through the eyes of your fans like me. I see a confident, creative and warm hearted woman who people are drawn to. A person who is caring and adventurous and fun. You inspire me to try to live my best life…even at age 67. 🙂❤️

Happy Birthday, Sari. You share a birthday with my 76 year old husband today. I enjoyed the new questions and your personal answers to them. What an accomplishment you have in Oldsters. It always seems like I find another person who is questioning the same things I am. The sky is the limit on what you can accomplish. May this year be the best year ever for you.

You and my husband share a birthday-! May it be exactly what you hoped.

If you do emigrate to Portugal - and hopefully just to see the world, not because of political reasons - I have a friend who got stationed there, loved it so much she decided to never leave. She is now a realtor specializing in helping other expats purchase property in Iberia.

Your voice and this song featured are great! You have to sing more! Are you a fan of the Roches, whose music was featured in Crossing Delancey? I can imagine your putting out an album of work like the song you sung in the video, that reminds me of the Roches’ work.

Truly I love your song and voice as much as I love their music. And I’m usually terrible about embracing new music!

Happy Birthday! We are about a month apart in age; your reflections about this year are resonating with me. I look forward to reading Pathway to 60. Loved listening to your video. May your 59th be filled with song.

Happy birthday, Sari! Thank you for this, reminds me of all the living ahead even as the road grows shorter. Women need to brag more. And sing more. And why not take pictures at funerals?!
