You're so prolific in your writing, posting, linking, PRing, viewing, reading... how are you so productive? Have you managed to find more time in a day than I have?
My day: Walking dog. Food. Thinking about writing. Cleaning. Laundry. Food. More thinking about writing. Driving to get food. Thinking about writing I didn't do.
Well, I'm impressed with all you have done and do. We just ended our business, so I'm hoping to build my writing career. I need your focus throughout my day, too.
Great to meet you in person last week at Left Bank Ciders in Catskill. Fun evening and I also got to meet and chat with author Isaac Fitzgerald, raconteur par excellence. As an added bonus, I also bumped into Nick Flynn, he of the memoir "Another Bullshit Night in Suck City." Just finished "What You Should Worry About" a new novel by my friend, Meryl Branch-McTiernan, and a great, raunchy beach read. And I am half-way through "Yesteryear" by Caro Claire Burke, about a trad wife, a species much in the news right now. Next up, Isaac's American Rambler. So many books, so little time.
Fantastic round up! I love Guy Branum and was so happy to see his NYT profile. Also, not gonna lie… I had no idea there was going to be another season of The Bear. I thought they ended it last time around!
First, because it's summer, I have to recommend Good Earth Sweet & Spicy tea. It's available pretty much everywhere and it comes caffeine free and organic and it makes hands down the best iced tea ever. Just make it hot, it is also delicious hot,and then chill. The perfect refreshing drink on hot days, no sweetening needed
And if you have curly hair like Sari and me, and you're not up for blending your own leave in conditioner like Sari does, try SheaMoisture brand Coconut & Hibiscus Smoothie Curl Enhancing Cream. At most drug stores and some grocery stores. Don't use too much, a dollop works, abd then it lasts forever.
I'm reading a book from the latest Oldster bookshelf, The End of My Life is Killing Me: The Unexpected Joys of a Cancer Slacker by Annabelle Gurwitch-- it's HILARIOUS and I'm constantly marveling at her original ways of expressing things. She's so very clever! Love it and highly recommend to all -- whether you have had or will have or will luckily never have cancer, you will love this book!

The thing is, it’s my day job!

Great to meet you, too, Annie! And thanks for the recs.
We lost another Oldster - and a local - Robert Thurman, a renowned Buddhist and scholar.
Oh, yes. I forgot. Will include him next time.

OO LA LA ...Vanicream retails just $11.25...why have I been spending so much more on my wirebrush tresses?
It’s also great!
So many recs thanks to you, Sari, and to all in the terrific Olds community
