Just read Abigail’s new book “Still Life at Eighty” in one sitting. Did not want it to end so I am going to read it again and then read all her other books in my collection. Absolutely love her writing and sensibilities. 💖

So glad to hear she has the chair--chair, but not the air. Winston! What a lucky and beloved dog.

What strikes me about your wonderful story is the ways our loved ones live on. My grandmother's Chinese chair now sits in my living room. Like Bigmom's chair, memories are attached to it. But unlike Bigmom's chair, it's way too uncomfortable to sit on.
