So I volunteered as an author escort at the Brooklyn Book Festival and was in the big green room at the same time as Jason and his family daughter is delicious). I almost introduced myself, given my connection to Sari (and Oldster) but didn’t want to interrupt his conversations with the other authors. And didn’t get to see the panel because I was taking other panelists to theirs. But I’m looking forward to reading the book.

Oh wow. You absolutely could have introduced yourself but this is so nice to hear!

Aw. Next time!

Love the chill vibe. My definition of success is contentment regardless of age. Always dreaming bigger and wanting more is over-rated. I look forward to checking out Jason's new book.

I’m impressed with how simply you respond (and I don’t expect that you toiled over these answers, tho maybe….). I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say they’ve always felt an age older than they are. Very cool. (Very Larry David!) Looking forward to reading your book.

This interview speaks to me. I'm an 82-year-old, 59-year married woman with two children in their 50s. Long ago, my 75-year-old neighbor told a friend, "Joanie's only 25, but she seems 50." I loved my actual 50s, still feel the same, thanks to good luck and careful choices.

I enjoyed your interview and understand your saying that you brought yourself up. I kind of did too. I must say you brought yourself up “not be a jerk,” as your grandfather told you, but to be a “bench.” Your darling daughter is lucky to have a dad like you to help bring her up along with your lovely wife. Life is full of surprises and adventures, and you’re right there to embrace them. Bella Ruth Bader

Enjoyed the interview but I must object: 45 is not old. At least 50 for god’s sake 😅

Sue, did you read the paragraphs at the top about how everyone is the oldest they've ever been, and Oldster is not so much about old people as it is about getting older throughout life? When I was 30, even 40, 45 seemed ancient. It's all relative. See, too: https://oldster.substack.com/p/q-who-qualifies-as-an-oldster-a-everyone

You sound awesome, Jason. Nice to meet you :)

Do you need to be a paid subscriber to do an interview? Just wondering.
