So how does he pronounce it? Is it bow as in hair ornament or bow as in bending from the waist? Or is it the weapon used with arrows? The thing that makes the violin sing? The title of his stack annoys me bc I cannot get past this.
I enjoy this interview very much. A.J. is on the right track. I believe that, if he lives long enough, he will "figure it all out" and he will become a natural blonde. I like his sense of humor.
I absolutely adored this conversation! And have so many raw thoughts:
1) Thinking about death isn’t morbid—it’s actually the key to living a fuller life. The more we face our mortality, the less time we waste on things that don’t matter.
2) The part about age really hit me. I’m 34, but I constantly forget and tell people I’m 33. Inside, I feel more like 30, and I swear it has something to do with turning 30 in the middle of the pandemic—like those years just exist in a weird time warp.
3) The line about thinking you’ll have it all figured out or be fulfilled by a certain age—but never really are? SO relatable, and also liberating. Just accepting and loving who you are, where you are, right now—that’s the real work.
4) Also, "life is a race against tooth decay"—LOL, truly a perfect line.
5) The NYC part! Whew. The draw, the vibrancy, the feeling of being 25 and completely swept up in it. It’s intoxicating in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. There's an energy that makes you feel like anything is possible, and yet, when you step back, you realize how much of it is a trap—the chase, the striving, the never-enough-ness. It’s fascinating how we romanticize certain times in our lives, only to look back and think… was I actually happy, or was I just caught up in the motion?
6) On a completely unrelated note, I still haven’t watched Severance (I know, I know), but I have been watching Reacher and loving it. Although, this latest season feels so violent I can't watch a lot of the scenes.
7) AJ go to Paris! You're never too old.
8) AJ you need to check out human composting!
9) Everyone should take their birthday off and celebrate being ALIVE!
And so much more! Thank you for this fun and thought-provoking interview.
Hello, yes interesting, but get off that age stuff..it means very little. I am 91, and so, what's the problem? You want me on air? Ok, but have some sexy young woman there to interview that would be very exiting...young and"old" do you agree?
I just did a interview for a foreign film, and they were amazed that I could stand up on this.
We had lot of laughs too. Oh and my wife is 70, she looks like 55 or so, she is very exotic and italian born. i.went to Italy on business, met her and fell in love...40 years ago!
Next week is our 40th! You could have her on the show too! Two better.
ok ladies..Rosy was great, we also want to get out..to Italy perhaps?
Here is my bouquets of roses i promised.Painted them when i was a teenager.

It’s pronounced like “go” and refers to bow and arrow.
Thank you for assuaging my irritation! It’s the small things.

It's a fabulous newsletter.
The best.
