Re Dan Pontefract's The Future of Work Is Grey, the phrase "age debt" needs to be retired along with "gray tsunami." We are looking at the greatest accumulation of human and social capital in human history. We are age-rich.
I LOVED A Gorgeous Excitement. It was one of those few books I looked forward to sitting down with and was bummed when I finished it and didn't have it to read anymore. I was roughly the same age as the protagonist in the '80s and although she was in NYC and I was in the Phoenix suburbs, it was delicious to relive.
Thank you so much, Sari, for including my book "What Nobody Tells You About Getting Older:Aging With Both Eyes Open and a Smile on Your Lips" on your bookshelf! I'm so pleased to have it included in your terrific collection. May it answer questions (some unasked) and help us laugh about this often surprising adventure.
Thank you, Deborah! It's available at all the usual suspects online, including https://www.bookshop.org, which supports independent bookstores AND gives you a discount!
Yes!! This is such a great list, and just in time for my "stop scrolling and start reading again" endeavor. I can sing the praises of Old in Art School; it's beautifully written and the reality of an adventure many people fantasize about. As a fan of rock bios, I can't wait to read that Red Kross story! Thanks for this.

I like “age-rich.”
Indeed, we are the Fort Knox of SKEW right now, as a culture — Skills, Knowledge, Expertise, and Wisdom. That's age-rich.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for adding my book "Two years on another planet" to your list.
It's made my day ...no probably my month
:)

Thanks so much!! (And I love your name 😂)
Thank you for featuring Bicentennial Eve in Oldster Bookshelf. I appreciate it very much!
:)
And all the best to your mom.
Thanks for including Now You're One of Us, Sari! Really appreciate it. Hope your mom's okay...
My pleasure. Thanks, Dan.

I love “stop scrolling start reading” 📚
It's my new mantra. I'm going to write about it on my newsletter and give a shout out to your great list here!
Thank you for that, Suzan!
My absolute pleasure. I'm a big Oldster fan! Always great reading, and so necessary in the sea of slop.
<3
Sending all good thoughts to you and your mother (and appreciation for including A Gorgeous Excitement in this roundup) ❤️
Thank you, Cynthia. And my pleasure.
"Ladies' Lunch" by Lore Segal? Yes! It's time I read her.
Love that you included All The Girls In Town by my pal Staci Greason! She’s brilliant!
Thank you for including SALT SISTERS! Thinking of you and your mother! <3
My pleasure.
I read Michael Pollan’s book on psychedelics and now “Psychedelics and the Counterculture of Aging” looks very interesting.
Sari! Thanks for featuring Psychedelics and the Counterculture of Aging! Something to really bring out the Oldster in us!
And sending you good energy re the caregiving. I'm in the same boat with a 94-year-old mother. It's a lot!
My pleasure! And thanks, Abbie. Good luck with your mom, too. <3
Grateful to see your feature on Bicentennial Eve--such a great book of nostalgia.
My pleasure!
Sending hugs and patience to you and the patient. Great to see this 3rd list!
Thanks, Jennifer.
I hope your mother is ok!
